syssumm (AKA "System Summaries") is a collaborative open source project consisting of a set of Perl scripts that generate a profile of a computer's hardware, software, and network configuration that can then be viewed from a central repository of profiles with a browser.
As of March 2002, this project is being reorganized to more fully utilize the generous facilities offered by SourceForge.
Note that the project has not been in active development since October 2000, however, there are a number of patches that have been submitted since that time. I hope to integrate those patches into a new release shortly.
If you have questions about the reorganization or would like to participate in the project once it is rejuvenated, please contact the project organizer.
